The lever-action platform has been getting the job done since 1860, and it is still a viable choice for a patrol/social rifle. This course covers safe handling procedures, basic operation, and loading techniques for the lever-action rifle.

Equipment: 
A centerfire rifle that:
-Has a loading gate in the receiver
-Allows direct loading into the chamber
80 rifle rounds, 50 pistol rounds
Hearing protection, eye protection, and a brimmed hat are required. A rifle with a sling is preferred. 

The fee for the class is $100.00. A spot in the class may be secured by paying a $50.00 deposit (plus a $3.74 processing fee if paid online via credit card through Eventbrite). There is a $10 range fee payable to the range on the day of the class.

Weather policy: If the weather is such that it jeopardizes the students' safety, the class will be postponed or delayed as appropriate. Otherwise, the class will go forth as scheduled rain or shine.

Cancellation Policy: The deposit is non-refundable if you choose not to attend the class. If the range were to cancel, full refunds will be made. I reserve the right to cancel the class and grant full refunds if fewer than five students sign up for the class. If I am forced to cancel the class for reasons other than the outlined above, students will have the option of refund of their deposit or attending the course on another date at a reduced fee.

POST Credit: POST certified peace officers will receive POST credit for this class.
