Here's a quick pic of my newest acquisition.  I recently competed in a major 3-gun match and was fortunate enough to win the match.  The prize table had over $135,000 in prizes.  Here is what I managed to pull off the table (It helps when you get to go first!)  It comes with everything shown except for the ACOG, but the Troy sights were included.  It also came with a custom-fitted Pelican travel case.

New 18" "SPR" Gas Piston Weapon system from POF-USA:

Semi-Auto, 18" gas piston weapon system, with Predator P-12SX (slim, extended version) full length,
intermediate gas block location 18" Rock Creek 4150 Vanadium, Heavy profiled & fluted to reduce heat and weight, 1:8 twist, "5R" polygonal barrel with extended feed ramp barrel extension. Comes with Vortec flash hider, C.R.O.S. (Corrosion Resistant Operating System).

Daddy likes!!

My bad.  Edited to include the gory details.

Kletz,
Bipod is a little heavy, but very sturdy.  Very much like a FAL bipod.

Caver,
I just shipped out the other POF upper to a friend of mine in Virginia.  He's interested in purchasing one, but wanted to check mine out and play with it for a while before he made his decision.  He'll have it for a couple of months (I'm sure) before he'll manage to ship it back.

Must have been a real major match for you to win something like that!

Can you bring it to the next group shoot?

What division do you shoot?

What class are you?

I think by the time you figure out the cost of practice ammo, fuel, weapons, entry fees, yada yada ..... over the years you will figure out that the nice rifle was not free .

That is a cool thing.  You take some nice pics and frame them.

GeorgiaBII,
The stock is very nice, but it is a little heavy.  I would only use one on a precision setup, not a general purpose or a CQB setup.

HK shooter 03,
The match was the Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun Match in Mesa, Arizona.  It's one of the big four, 3-gun matches during the season.

I'll most certainly bring it to the next group shoot I attend.

At this match I shot Heavy Metal for the first time.  I'm a GM.

Caver,
What kind of details would you like?  You use pistol, shotgun, and rifle.  Most of the stages require you to use two guns and a couple require you to use all three during the stage.  There were 10 stages, but one got thrown out because of the bad weather.

Here's a link to the match results and another link to some video the Cavalry Arms guys took.

rjay,
What you have to realize is that I was going to spend that money regardless of whether I won anything or not.  You don't go to a casino expecting to win money.  When it happens, you're happy and you feel like you got something for free.  That's kinda how I feel.  I don't expect to win anything, so when I do, it's free to me.

I know what you are saying . I used to do the SCCA thing and other motorsports. Looks of  beautified particleboard up in the attic.    At least some of the old MX trophies are made with genuine Italian marble .

Wow...

Can you bring your pistol to the next shoot?

I'm a junior and I'm shooting open in C class...

Maybe you can show me a few things and hopefull some skill might rub off on me...

HK Shooter 03,
Which pistol did you want me to bring?  I used a SV 45 that I built for the Heavy Metal division.

We have actually shot together a few times at SRGC.
