OK being new top Georgia I am tring to learn all the gun laws. And yes tried the search and got one non related hit.

In Florida it is legal to ship handguns and long guns to and from private parties WITHIN the state. Is this true in GA too??

Thanks

Long guns are OK. Handguns are NOT OK. You have to do a face-to-face or a dealer transfer

Even if you could ship a handgun in-state, you'd still have to go Fedex priority overnight (per Fed law and carrier rules) to or from a dealer as an individual and that will run a minimum of $45 in-state plus FFL transfer costs.

If you are shipping a gun to yourself, then few fed rules apply, just follow the shippers rules. I ship my ARs to myself in care of my relatives at their homes. I don't want to be the one opening up and clearing an m4 at the airport for the desk jockeys.
