birdbarian has been around here for awhile, reading, learning, comparing, etc, but, to date, his rifle cabinet has been empty........
 Well, I have it on good authority that he has been bitten by the bug and finally made the plunge........  and the really funny part is that he thinks getting the rifle is the end, not the beginning, of the process.  Luv ya' bro!!!!!!! Sorry to get you into this mess though....................

Alright.
I haven't named any rifles. When I got my first 1911 I called it Phil Jr. Then I got Phil jr jr. That reminds me. I got another I need to name. You could call it Hoover. When I built my first AR I got the bug bad. And building different uppers and reconfiguring the thing sucked my wallet dry for quite some time. |

Congrats and welcome to the disease.
BTW, try wrapping the fingers of your support (left) hand around the fingers of your right hand. You'll have an easier time controling your pistol doing that.

I took a class at ACM from Walt and he showed me the errors of my ways. I noticed that in the pic too. According to UPS, my baby should be arriving on Thursday.

The wife shot my AR with the new Jared trigger a couple of weeks ago. After she got through she told me she wants on now. It's wonderful she likes things that go bang too.

I've seen the photo in GD of the Bling'd out AR w/ lights, lasers, optics, bipod, etc. The thing must have weighed 40 lbs. This is funny too...

I infected my friends son with BRD last weekend, gave him some trigger time behind my AR. Couldn't shut him up about Black Rifles after that.

I picked up my new baby last night. I'm hoping to get some trigger time this weekend. Gotta see if I can get time off for good behavior.
Did ya'll know that Thursday night is "ladies night" at ACM? There were lots of female shooters including a couple of LEOs. Not sure if I saw any ladies.  <just kidding>

Both of the LEOs were in good shape. One LEO was looking very butch in her cammie pants and duty belt. The other one was blonde and had a son who was ~ 7 yo. He was a good kid and played with my son while I was doing the paperwork. I like the guys at ACM. Steve tried to talk me into trading my kids for some guns. It was tempting.

I suspect the value is related to age and condition. I think you could get top dollar for yours. Went to Bull's Eye today and shot 169 rds of WWB. I found one round that had a dent in the neck, so I tossed it. |
