Is anyone here going to the Eastman Gunshow at the Nort Atl. Trade Center?
AND What are you taking with you?? I will be going to pay the lovely Mrs. Eastman my $7 I have New in the Box 300 weatherby rifle I will be taking to do some trading with. I know several people here (including myself) have been very disappointed with gunshows lately, but the NATC show is the only one that i will waste my money on. |
I will have a table there. Drop by and say hello.
There will be a huge "STAG ARMS" banner over my table. I couldn't get neon so this will have to do! JK |
I usually make this show but have to pass this time. Too much else going on right now.
Yep, it's this weekend.
I'm going to bring a Colt LE6920 and a Vector "Classic" AK-V47-both with very low round counts. Will the ATF shoot me if I dare to bring two rifles to sell? Scott |
I'll try and make it. Allison is coming up this weekend, and I know she is just holding her breath to go to another gun show!!
Why am I always poor???.........................
Send me an IM w/ the price please. .....................now I remember. |
I am going to try to swing up there I am going to bring a Glock and an 870 I think. I need a new rifle
which model glock? |
If I make it I'm going to bring my kid. Anybody need a 9 year old boy? He's smart and works hard.
I have a Davis .380 and a Lorcin 9mm. If hes strong enough, I'll let you take your pic between the 2. |
ive got a barely used IMI M1 carbine ill be taking along with some GI mags and what ammo i have left for it. i might also be taking my taurus tracker titanium .357.
I do have a couple of OLD single shot, Marlin .22s. I might take. Anybody interested?
I'll be helping my dad with his booth at the Lakewood antique show and sell some military collectibles.
IF I make enough money, I'll come get some stuff from JKiser on Saturday. |
I hope you make enough money to have fun at the show and have some left over! JK |
How much for the 870? Dang I feel like I ought to be standing near the door smoking... |
I'll probably be there - I'll bring the deadliest weapons ever - my 2 hadns. I can break anything in 5 seconds - promise! Hand me a 1911 and see how long it lasts :D
I would love to go but I am testing for my yellow belt this weekend!
How on earth did I get 20 guns in my safe and never attend a single gun show? |
I'm going. I've been saving my cash. I'm looking for a Glock 19 and a Springfield M1A Scout.
For trade/sale I'm bringin': VEPR 308 with 2 stock sets, wood thumbhole and black one. (AWESOME shooter) Ruger GP100 4" blue Springfield XD40 5" OD SAR2, refinished in SOCOM molyresin, tapped for flash hider Browning Hi-Power, hard Chrome, gold trigger (bling!) Other stuff, but I have not decided exactly what. All LNIB except SAR2, no box. Hopefully I can swing some deals. Also need a trunk full of ammo. I've been watiing for this one for awhile. I have not been in over 6 months! See ya there. |
Last time I was at an eastman's show, they had a big sign that said "no walk around sales", "pay for a table if you want to sell".
Is this their new policy, and do they enforce it? |
Damn, I need .303, and I'm outta cash. Christmas and Car tags = 1, 2 punch to the wallet.
Really? I've yet to see anything like that. |
I've seen a sign with similar text there. I think everyone ignores it, as I've discussed sales with people within a few feet of Matt and he said nothing. Maybe it's CYA.
I might get to go, but don't plan on buying anything, or selling anything. Maybe I'll bring something just so people will ask me if I want to sell it, and I'll give them some insane asking price. |
I've seen that sign, and pretty much ignored it. I've never had a problem, but then again, I don't walk around with printed up signs or any of that. I just kind of cruise around and try to make deals with guys at the tables, or people walking around. The guy that runs these Eastman shows is THE most unfriendly, non customer service guy I've seen lately. He acts pissed off that people are coming to his shows. I will never understand whats up with that. |
So, do we have a final count on who is going? I need to bum a ride(ahem, Bradd_D).
Usual time, BoJangles, lunch? ByteTheBullet (-: |
I will be there early I hope.
May bring another Bushmaster - no Jason - you got one already! Maybe a partially .922 MAC 90. Looking for a Gen 3 glock 19.23.32 |
Again:
Look for the STAG ARMS banner... I will be under it (naked). JK |
I'll be there tomorrow morning ...
Bringing a no longer needed Sig P226 .. excellent in Box ... bought in 1990 ... about 300 rounds through it ... Like to get a Colt 357 revolver .. also going to look at a 7.62X39 upper .... |
I am going to do my best to make it. I WANT a Stag lower, stripped or otherwise: I NEED many pounds of surplus/pull-down IMR-4895, but nobody sells that stuff at Eastman Gun Shows. I've only seen that at Knob Creek, and that was rare.
IM me if you want more info about either one . I am headed up there Sat late morning and wearing my nu-way weiners shirt
I just got back from the show. I picked up a Stag lower & lower parts kit from JKiser. Excellent price on the lower. There were a couple of other forum members doing business with him when I was there.
I also went to buy ammo. I didn’t see hardly any 5.56mm for sale at the show. I’m heading down to the basement to build my AR & it should be ready for Pickens range by tomorrow. |
I finished building! (Not that hard, already had the complete upper)
Pivot pin is real tight even without the upper receiver in place. You need a punch to get it out. It should break in some with use I did not see any large ammo dealers (no stacked crates of 7.62x39), but I was focused on other things. Georgia Arms was there with their usual stuff. |
There was maybe a couple of 20 round WOLF 7.62X39mm but overpriced at over $3.00 a box. Also, there was some "Nipple" match 7.62X39 for $125. I got a deal on some Romanian Softpoint 7.62X39 for .10 each. There was a guy selling some Chinese steel core 7.62X39 for .10 each also. There was some .303 ammo, but all of it was priced over at or around $10.00 for 20. There was hardly ANY ammo. No .223 that I could tell except for some WAY overpriced Remington 55 grain FMJ ammo, I think it was like $40 for 200?(not sure, but I remember it was way too much).
Oh yea forgot to mention, there was a lot of people there, but few good dealers. It was slim pickings I thought.
i bought an LPK from JKiser. he's a hell of a nice guy. id rather buy full retail from a good natured ARFCOMMER than buy wholesale from a prick. where the hell was the ammo at this show? i couldnt find any 5.56 which was why i went to begin with.
Thank you very much!
I am trying to do better on the other parts and pieces... Just the LPK's have tiny markup. One thing is for certain - you will get what you pay for! No substitutions - No "take down" parts - No Chicom crap. Again, thank you very much for your business! JK |

Thanks everybody for stopping by! The GA group is a great bunch of people. Some folks got my full attention and other folks got less than they deserved. I was way more busy than I imagined and I was not able to focus on everyone as was proper. If I rubbed you wrong or you had to wait a crazy amount of time - I apologize for the inconvenience! I tried to be prompt, but I am still all thumbs on the 4473 and the NICS check... Retail is easy from the comfort of my throne here at Kiser Central. But, it was a bit more tedious at the show. On another note, I am stunned at the quality of people I met at the show. A few cops that were really cool (I bet a couple of beers would regress that crew into a couple of funny jokers), a 16 year old attorney (well... he looked 16. I'm just jealous 'cause I wish I had been that motivated when I was young), a mechanic with a heart of gold (no explanation needed here - if I cut you a deal, will you help me fix my truck?), college punks (young and dumb - not really, they just haven't had life stomp the enthusiasm out of them yet - truly nice guys), hard core shooters (folks that know more about this game than I will ever learn), black rifle nerds (is there such a thing? you know the type: sit around the house with an AR that has 12 pounds of crap strapped to it... wait, I resemble that remark... never mind). And you know what? Not a scumbag or jerk in the whole lot. No one was rude or unprofessional. I had a great time. Thank you! Joseph |
I need to work another show. I haven't been there in a while.
Didn't think I was going to go, but it turned out I got to hit the show in the morning. I spent nearly all my time talking to other ARFCOMmers I saw walking around. That alone was worth my $7 entrance fee. The "GA Gang" ar some really great folks.
Met JKiser and got a nice door prize. This guy has his stuff together. Good products, good prices and great attitude. Check him out sometime. |
I went Saturday afternoon. Bought a M4 stock wrench to finish an upgrade on my 9mm Sporter carbine and that was my big purchase.
Walked around with my 6920 and didn't make a sale. Stopped at Tucker Gun on the way home, put the Colt and my Vector '47 on consignment. I always have good luck getting my rifles sold there. Saw JKiser's table but didn't interupt him, he was dealing with a couple of customers. I saw some of the gun show sterotypes we talk about here. (Jerky, Airsoft, phony vets, etc.) Saw a couple pretty girls, too. Oh, and I saw the $2,400.00 Colt 9mm carbine that I mentioned seeing at the show a few months ago. LOL, some things never change. I really wasn't disappointed with the show but then again, I didn't go in there set on buying anything, either. I wish there was more good mag & ammo deals...I would buy mags or ammo during every other gun show visit if the deals were there to be had. Scott |
I met JKiser yesterday, and he is a good guy. On more than one occasion he directed people to other tables. He is the kind of guy who will help you if he can, and if he can't he will send you to someone who can. I will definitely buy from him again. I really enjoyed meeting some of the rest of you also.

Time was I would make 8-10 shows a year, but that's a thing of the past. I've probably been to 3 shows in '05. My greatest find of on '05 was the insane dealer at the Savannah show that was asking $20.00 for $1.99 HK take down pins. I'll use a rusty nail before I pay $20.00 for a take down pin.
With the rude ass dealers and the high prices I've all but gave up. I guess I just don't know where to look for the deals these days. I can remember the days when good deal were the rule other than the rare occasion. Rude dealers and the net have killed gun shows IMHO. I know there are still great dealers and deals to be found but I find little joy wading in shit looking for them. TD |
Agreed. Rude dealers and high prices have killed much of my desire to visit gun shows. I don't blame the Internet though. I think that it has opened the market for more competition and more customers. The Internet changed things; dealers, just like everyone else, can either learn to change with it for the better, or for the worse. I make the effort to go to Knob Creek every Spring. The place is full of stuff: old, new, surplus, and junk. I've found a few rude dealers, and the cornbread-mafia that runs the place makes Jethro Bodene look like a brain surgeon. Throwing mud everywhere with four-wheelers, wearing your best pair of camo overalls, is no way to run what could be a multi-million dollar machine gun shoot. BUT, I can most always find what I am looking for at a fair price; I even find stuff that I didn't know I was looking for. I have also found most excellent dealers who offer good prices and some are willing to bargain with you. Watching others shoot highly expensive machineguns satifies my need to own one: I just see money flying out of my wallet with every shoot. I pack my food and beverages for needed breaks throughout the day. As I posted in another thread, I am done with Eastman. The Eastmans' (both of them) rudeness pushed me to the limit; that sign about no person-to-person sales finished it. |
