Any good (non scalping) gunsmith in Atlanta?

Job should be simple: I want to convert my AR-10A4 to float barrel. Actually need someone to replace the original handguards for that tubular one. h
Thanks in advance!

Tommy at Georgia Precision might be able to help. I know he's helped several guys build ARs and I know he's got the tools.

Another one is Lew Tippie. Both of these guys are on this board. I also think they both have a forum in the industry section.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Mark!
I've heard very well about Georgia Precision. Problem is distance. I was looking for someone close by where I can drive, leave the rifle and then pick it up later. I do not want to use courier or mail because of several horros stories I've already heard about.

I'll e-mail them and see what can be done in a drive-and-wait scenario.

Cheers!

Tommy is worth the drive. You will not regret the results!

I'm trying e-mail but they seem to be bouncing back.

Still no reply from them yet. Perhaps the job is too small for them?

Any other "smiths" in Atlanta? There can't be only two, otherwise I'll start getting suspicious of a "Highlander thing" going on there...

Hey Tom,

Did you get any of my e-mails? I'll try to give you a call or, better, let me know if you plan to come for the Eastman gun show and we can meet there.

Cheers!

There's still one!
