I'm going! I'll be there when the doors open or slightly later to let the line dwindle a bit. I think it opens at 10:00am on Saturday and I need ammo. I'm also in the market for about 6 front sight posts, butt stock cleaning kit, holster for my .9mm and a gun case so I wont drop my rifle bore down in the mud.. again.
What do you guys think about the 'canned heat'? I've heard good things, I've heard not so good things, what is the consensus on this ammo? I cant find any affordable LC XM193 or Q3131A anywhere, wholesalehunter is slackin'!! gilfrd |

Gilfrd, I’ll be there about the same time as you. Just curious, why do you need so many front sight posts? I’m going to try some of the GA Arms “canned heat” 9mm. I’m almost completely out of 9mm ammo. Are you talking about their 5.56mm stuff?

Howdy Book,
I need something that I can customize for my front sight. The original is too big and gets in the way, the crosshair front sight seems to blur the target a bit much. I was going to try to file them down in different ways to see what will work best for me. I have .9mm ammo coming out my ears, I'm looking at the 5.56 stuff, have you tried it? gilfrd |

Nope. I only shoot Q3131A in my 16" and IMI M855 in my 20".

Bill...I used to shoot "canned heat" in my AR. No problems...very cheap. I had two bad rounds out of 1000. The primer fell out of one and the other had a badly dented case. Shot well, though. |

Ken and I have bought canned heat from Georgia arms and we enjoy it. IT shoots about 2900-3100 FPS on the Crony. The ony problem we've found out of the last 4 cans we bought 3 had 488 rounds instead of 500 per can. But the quality is worth the $75.00 price tag per 500 in 5.56. We don't want to do Breakfast but will do late lunch if anyone are interested. It takes an hour to get there so leaving early for Breakfast wont be good for a couple of night shift guys. We may be harder to find this time due to we may not be wearing our shirts (ar15.com) But ya'll are more than welcome to wear yours if you have one,,, you do have a AR15.com shirt right? huh? huh?

Andy, there is a guy that sells pretty much nothing but ammo. He is usually 2/3 of the way towards the back on the left side (but not up against the wall). I’ve gotten Q3131A from him for as low as 1$165 + tax per case.
Some of the guys like the GA Arms “canned heat” ammo. It’s usually cheaper than Q, but the Q is M193 spec. Show hours are 10:00 – 18:00 Saturday and 12:00 – 17:00 (I think) on Sunday. |

Howdy fellers. I won't be able to make this show, which one is it anyway(location: trade center?!?)? Does anyone know if there will be another funshow before BOOMfestII? It would suck to have tannerite but nothing to touch it off with. I am needing some more CHEAP ammo.

There are usually two ammo guys that have battlepack(type/quantity) stuff and I see which one will give me the best price.
