My wife and I moved to NC from TX a few months ago for her new role with her company. I'm absolutely tired of sitting around the house and I'm having trouble finding career opportunities in the Roanoke Rapids area that aren't retail or food service. I have a B.S. in Environmental Technology and Management with minors in Toxicology and Environmental Science. I know it's a long shot, but if any of you know of opportunities within 45 minutes of Littleton, NC I would certainly appreciate any information. I'm certainly willing to change career paths and I'm really looking for a stable, full-time role. I have many different skills that I've acquired through the years and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty.

Roanoke Rapids, Littleton, Seaboard, Emporia, Rocky Mount, Henderson and surrounding areas.

Lots of corporate entities in RTP for your qualifications but it's 30 or so minutes south of Henderson.

I see a ton of opportunities in that area but unfortunately it's a little too far of a drive for me.

Have you looked into Dominion Energy?

They own two hydro dams in your area along with Lake Gaston and Lake Roanoke Rapids they may be interested in someone with your degrees.

Pfizer/Hospira - Rocky Mount is hiring. Your science degree would probably be appropriate for some of the positions.
