I'm going to be spending a few days in Raleigh as a refugee from the Irma evacuation in South Carolina. Are there any good gun stores worth visiting in the area? Might as well try and make the best of a bad situation.

Fuquay Gun and Gold in Fuquay Varina

Ed's Gun Shop in Vass (about an hour south of Raleigh but well worth the trip)

Perry's in Wendell (though they can be a little high on some things....good selection)

I went there to see if they had a LC9s for my wife to try before she purchased it. These idiots wanted $75 just for her to rent the gun. You also have to buy ammo from them which probably puts this at near $100 to rent a $300 handgun.

I laughed at the guy behind the counter and walked out. Never again.

Carolina Gunrunners gets my vote. Reasonable prices and great people.
