Anyone local have the ability to pin a Geissele gas block? Ill bring the beer and talk yer ear off
Anywhere around the KC area? Im in NKCMO. Edit: Bummer  Ill just get a clamp on block.

Is it any different than a regular ar gas block? You can do regulars with a brass mallet and a punch, atleast thats how I have always done it....

I've done it before, but I live in the Hartsburg area. I am confident there is someone near KC that can help. Guys like AFSOC, or maybe Eric. They should be along shortly.

If it were me, I would drill the dimples for the set screws and "set" the gas block in place. Then use an end mill bit of the proper diameter for your gas block's pin hole in a drill press or even a carefully aimed hand drill. The end mill bit has a square end versus an angled-tip like common drill bits so it will bite and cut straighter with less deflection. The .mil have been using set-screwed and non-pinned low profile gas blocks on their MkWhatever SPR rifles for some time with no problems. |
