May God bless all of you and may the new year be good for everybody and may all your dreams come true. may we also take this time to reflect, and think on us that are not more fortunate and have been blessed less than others. also for all the troops over see and all those friends and loved ones not in country, watch your back and come home save Ronald |

So, what did Santa bring everybody? Santa brought me a nice KC Chiefs jacket and a SAR-2, which I had to refinish myself since Centur... uh, Santa was too busy to put a decent finish on it himself.

I got a wallet from my girlfriend, and US$1000 to put in it from my new part-time job as an IT consultant to go along with my Bangkok vacation
 I'm breathing, above ground, and it's a beautiful day (88 degrees and hazy). I love this place! |

well the sar 2 looks great!
i have my health. i receied nothing, i was a bad boy this year. i did receive a leter from my freind that moved to Salt Lake hadent talked to him in a year thought he was dead. like i said this has been more a year of reflection than gifts. Ronald |

I had no gift, but did buy some for my wife and children. Actually, I already bought myself a gift: a Mauser K98 from our own ShamusMcOi. It was my first entry on my new C&R bound book. Mike, that SAR2 looks awesome. Give me the idea how to convert mine. I am curious, how did you attach the muzzle brake? Oz |

Oz, it was actually that way when I bought it off the EE, but its not that hard. Since the SAR-2 barrel is turned down quite a bit, you thread it for an AR15 flashhider and then you buy one of the adapters from Global Trades that screws on to an AR15 thread on the inner diameter and is threaded for the big commie '74 thread on the outer diameter.
See part nos. AK-607, AK-609, and AK-639 below. www.globaltrades.com/ak_muzzl_1.html  The adapter is held in place with the same front sight pin that holds the brake in place. You'd like the stock, its the NATO-length one KVAR makes and tall guys like yourself really like the extra length of pull. Since I'm a short dude I can take it or leave it. Best part is, all the furniture is US made so that's three, and the trigger is a G2, so that's six, so the gun can use a true commie '74 brake and not a US made copy. Cool huh? Optic is curtesy of Rmdye. I got the optic first and had to go shopping for a rifle to put it on since I don't do those side-mount scope rails myself. Don't you hate it when that happens? Also finished work on a Bulgarian build yesterday for MDN. Can't help but be a picture whore, I really like how it turned out. Comin' at ya!

Sorry, I find myself watching that every Christmas. Love that Red Rider. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Santa treated everyone well. Have a Happy New Year all. I hope you don't live near anyone that shoots in the air to celebrate the New Year. Keep you head down.
