nope.  unfortunately our toilet broke.  Spent the evening making a trip to Lowes and reparing the flapper.  Atleast it wasn't the ballcock this time.

Nothing much to add.  As I said in our IM conversation Riley was in the position (incumbent Governor, election year) to use his position to claim air-time and promise the moon in a de facto stump speech, knowing that he will never have to deliver any of it regardless of the election outcome (if he loses he's out of office; if he wins he's a "lame duck" and we don't have anything with which to hold him accountable ).

FTR, this is NOT a swipe at Riley - this is "politics as usual" and the same thing any of them in his position would have done (and have in the past), IMHO...

Two years ago Riley said we needed a $1.2 billion tax increase because we were broke. He didn't get it.

Now he says we have a $1 billion surplus. That's a 3 year amount assuming taxes collected continue to grow as they have the past three years.

Trying to buy Hubbert for reelection by teachers pay raise and building schools. He and Patsy need to go back to Ashland but the people I know in ashland don't want them back
