Our state Republicans need to hold the line for at least two more years against an AWB, and give SCOTUS a chance to rule on a good 2A case.

I'm a RCH away from doing a little panic buying stacking.

So who's all going to the Libertarian Party victory rally today?

Celebrating the fact that the Dem. margin of victory over the Republicans was greater than the total Libertarian vote count?
(So they can't be blamed for costing the right a victory.)

Guys we're not screwed, FFS.  Join the MN Gun Owners Caucus and the Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance.  Latest email from MNGOC:

Whoanelly --

It was a tough night last night for Minnesota gun owners, as anti-gun F-rated Tim Walz won the Governor's race, long-time anti-gun politician Keith Ellison took the Attorney General's office, and the metro-centric DFL took control of the Minnesota House.
In the Minnesota Senate, Jeff Howe won the special election in Senate District 13, keeping the Senate in the hands of a pro-gun rights majority that will now have to serve as a bulwark against the extreme gun control measures we can expect to see.
Our Political Director Rob Doar will share more thoughts in a video on our Facebook page later today, but here are a few quick thoughts from last night's results:
•Voters told the media during polling leading up to the election - and in exit polls - that their top factors in their voting decisions were around healthcare, the economy, and the President. Only 2-3% of DFL voters listed guns as their top concern.
•Republicans in Minnesota that were weak on gun rights - including those that wrote or sponsored gun control legislation - all lost last night. In fact, they were targeted for defeat by gun control groups despite supporting some "common sense gun control measures."
•Michael Bloomberg's gun control organizations, Moms Demand Action and Everytown, bought this election by spending millions across the country to support "gun safety" candidates.
The gun rights movement in Minnesota has had some of its greatest successes under divided government - including passage of the Permit to Carry law, the Range Protection Act, the legalization of suppressors, and more.
That said, we expect to see a strong push for gun control in the coming weeks as the session approaches in January 2019. Here is some of what we can expect to see introduced:
•A comprehensive ban on "assault weapons" similar to the Linda Slocum bill from last session.
•Magazine restrictions - perhaps as restrictive as six rounds.
•Raising the age to own and possess any firearm to 21, or perhaps even as high as 25 as one anti-gun group wants
•"Red Flag" laws that allow police to seize your firearms after a court hearing that you're not even notified about.
•"Universal Background Checks" requiring you to go to a dealer and pay a fee for any transfer of a firearm, even curio & relics firearms or transfers to family.
•A repeal of Minnesota's state pre-emption law that prohibits cities from passing their own gun control bills
•Banning open carry
•Ending Permits to Carry or changing them to "may issue"
•and more...

What I want to know is where were the  172,831+ voters from 2016 that voted for Trump who couldn't be bothered to get out and vote R yesterday?

That number is the difference between Trump's 1,322,951 votes in MN in 2016 and Doug Wardlow's 1,150,120 vote total (as of this morning per the SOS website). Wardlow received the highest number of R. votes in the statewide races. Probably due to some D.'s not being able to hold their nose and vote for Ellison.

Hillary received 1,367,716 votes in MN in 2016, which is about what the statewide DLF candidates received this year, except for Amy K. who broke 1.5 mil.

In the long game, we are screwed.

Now it's more and more 'guaranteed democrat votes' bring resettled in our state. Republicans will never control this state again. With a radical AG now, we are fooked in the long term.

Now, to figure out where to move to and convince the wife...

100% correct sir!

2 year window to get out of this state.

Any state which votes an abominable (causing moral revulsion) huckster like Keith Ellison into office as chief law enforcer of the state is morally and spiritually bankrupt!!

No, celebrating the fact that the ideologically-imperfect Republican Party has been properly punished for being ideologically-imperfect.  Just remember that if you do go, they aren't going to have enough weed for everyone, so make sure you bring some to pass.
