Channel 11 said that the gun buy back program didn't get guns from teens in north MPLS like they thought it would. Anybody else have more information on this? I guess everybody else was trading in guns.

I don't think people are stupid, no matter what race, age, or gender. Nobody in their right mind is going to trade in a S&W, Colt, Taurus, etc in any kind of working condition for $50. I saw the guns on TV that were "bought" and they all were crap. The real trigger men could care less about $50, $75 even. IMO it was a waste other than to collect some scrap metal.

Didn't they try this about 15 years ago with the same results?

I saw the array of weaponry on the television too.  There wasn't a single firearm shown that I was able to identify.  It looked like they mostly got .22s, .38s, .380s, and 9mms.  There were some guys in another forum discussing if they could get away with taking in broken Airsoft guns.  Some said that they had enough that they could go to the buyback, take the proceeds, and go buy a nice gun, the ultimate irony.

I imagine if you watched auctions, pawn shops, etc. That you could find junk revolvers cheap enough to flip for profit. Two problems.....They law may get wise to your plan, and your presence would show support for the action.....
