I'm back in town so I may just show up. I may not shoot a whole lot, but I'll do my best to swing by for a little while.

Well just got back had a good time was at del tone for about 3 hours then headed out to princton and shot at some junk. Both of my DPMS's are now broke!!! THe LR mags broke and the ar15 is short cycleing so bad its a single shot. But they did fix the extractor problem last week when it was at the factory.

Thank you Paulie for putting out the steel.

I fixed it for you

Reminds me of the days of my Lite 16 from DPMS..Have DPMS check the bolt, 2 of the bolts they replaced in mine were out of spec, and have them check the barrel, my barrel was out of spec too

I called DPMS today and Ill be going to the range at 8:00 tuesday and shoot it to show them what it is doing. They want to work with me on getting it fixed but I wont put up with the six plus time I have heard about from other people. The junk broken plastic mags will be exchanged also. I am happy with the support I am getting but I dont like the fact It happened at all. I will have to barrow a AR for the 3 gun this weekend because I just dont trust it will be ready to run.

Thanks to all who came out to Princeton.  Had a blast shooting up the bunnies, bottles, and my Chair Frame!  I believe our final total count was a dozen attendees tossing brass.  Too bad we didn't end up putting that last propane tank out!

All fixed now I got  on range testing and its running like a semi-auto should.  I worked with the service guy and we got it running good. I fired about 150 round thru it without one problem and it even locks open the bolt on empty now. LR mags were all replaced and I should make it another weekend before I need anymore parts.

Im not sure first he opened up the GAS port a little then he ran a reamer in the chamber and it ran better but not perfect so he took it back in the shop and came back out and then it ran great I asked him what he did and didnt get a actuall answer but it shoots good I even got some bump fires out of it because I wasnt used to it cycling that fast. I had to check my six to see if paulie was there or not.

Is it fixed for Good? the weekend at princeton will only tell.

Edit: sorry I forgot a word.

Just chiming in, saying it was worth the drive from St. Paul to shoot with y'alls again.  It's fun making the big orange plastic pumpkins jump over the sand berm!

Unfortunately, I forgot to collect the hard drives again.  I kinda wanted to show them to my boss, since he's always wondering what I do with this junk equipment that I stash, pack in boxes, and bring home.

And I'm not sure what they post here as - but to the guy (Dan?) with whom I was speaking to about SKSes - AIM Surplus has some Albanians in stock.  Apparently, most of them are cleaned up and ready to go.  Which is  a nice bonus, since you do NOT want to un-cosmo these things.  Mine came in a 1/8" thick layer of cosmoline all the way around.  It's still in the nooks and crannies to this day.  Looks like they run about $230 to $280, depending on condition.  I'd be tempted, but I'm preparing to make $12000+ fly out the window very soon.
