Don't have any plans for the weekend, so figured I'd head that way and hit the gunstores in the area.  I've never been to any of the surplus stores near post, but figured I'd see if I can find anything interesting while I'm there.  I'm not looking for anything in particular, just looking to find some bargins or random crap that catches my eye.

Any recommendations?  I realize it's probably not the prime time to hit the surplus stores with the recent deployments.  I imagine the pickings are good when folks start rotating back.

Don't know what you're after but I've gotten some nice M9 bayonets out of Ft. Campbell from that site.

A short road trip north will see you at Country Boy Stores. Used to be the area's kick-ass surplus dealer. I moved away in '99 so I don't know how they are today.

There is a little place that is in sort of a run down strip mall off of 41A. It's next to what used to be the pink lady. It's run by some Koreans, who don't seem to speak english very well, but usually if they have what you want, they'll have the best price in town.

That place was condemned and scheduled for demolition but mysteriously burned down a month before the dozers were to roll. They built a brand spankin' new surplus store there and the prices aren't so great now. They still have a bunch of stuff though.

Went there, good store.  Also went to a store a couple buildings to the north.  Just a generic sign out front that said something like "Military Supply".  That one was more like the surplus stores I remember as a kid.  Piles and piles of stuff to sort through.  I think I found a new hobby.
