A discussion came up with some friends, one who is thinking about purchasing an HK 91 date coded 1981. If this person wishes to have the gun shipped to an in state FFL, fills our the 4473 and wishes to keep the rifle alone, he's not going to SBR it. Doe she still need to get a COP or AWC.

And secondly, how if he needs any additional info for a COP or AWC does he make it clear how HK uses their date code???

Soooo, only IF he wanted to SBR the HK 91. Sounds good.

If he wanted to purchase an HK SP89, same no COP or AWC providing he does not want to put a stock on the pistol.

Yes same thing. Only need to register if submitting to ATF because they require it, not the state.

You do not need to register a pre ban gun. ust make sure the FFL you ship to is willing to transfer it.

FYI - I know of an HK91 for sale in state. Saw the ad. No, it is not mine. The guy selling it is a regular here.

Not yet - he has them coming in Tuesday... Small family gun store so he's last on the list for getting the new Glocks
