Added “reactor” top serrations. Finished in Burnt Bronze cerakote. Surefire X300Ua, Dawson MOS non cowitness black rears with a fiber front sight. Milling and refinishing looks amazing up close. Less than 5 weeks door to door.

My kids school does a Veterans Day tribute. Parents can send in pics of family that have served. I sent in 2 pics of my grandfather. He came home with this in his binder, under the plastic cover on the front. I asked him where he got it, he said the principal printed it up for him. I then asked if any other kids got the one, he said no. I guess they like him.

We just had a family memorial yesterday for my grandfather, he passed last November 3rd.

Happy Thanksgiving all CTHTF folks!

It was pretty chilly this morning (16 degrees not including the windchill) - I wrapped the smoker in insulation to keep it around 325 degrees!

Turkey came out great! Served with a meat pie (beef, veal, and lamb German spiced mix), corn souffle, rosemary green beans, sweet potato & bacon casserole, and Fuji apples fried with bacon

Great day for me! First time out with the rifle this year. The afternoon started with me getting rear-ended on my way to hunt, just a simple bumper tap that hit my hitch hauler with no damage. Got in the stand around 230, and took the 9pt at 4:00, and the little one at 4:05. Ruger Hawkeye lightweight 308 at just 20yd inside the field, Federal Fusion 180grn. Both dropped just at the tree line on the right.
