one more Rhode Islander here. Not a cop. Just an AR enthusiest. From the East bay area. Shoot at the East warren rod and gun club and tiverton. if one of us post something in the EE we should mention it here so that we could buy it in person and see it first. Just a thought.

+1 edit: raf i enjoyed the thread the other day... the silly people one. I try not to be one of the silly majority but between some of the nonsense on here and being the only guy with a black rifle at the range  it can be tough to learn. IM or email me and mabye you can share some knowldge to help the world be a little less silly, while putting a few downrange.

i will be soon, as the coast has become crazy...the yuppies have found RI and found Bristol bigtime. I love it up north, maybe Foster or Burrivile. I used to love Bristol. Now its a bit too pricey for me. Anyway all ahave a good day and drop me an IM or post and we'll go shoot together. If the snow doesn't bother you. MERRY CHRISTMAS

i've been a commercial fisherman out of newport for a number of years. Also New Bedford, Point Judith, and Alaska. got into shooting military rifles after my grandfather left me a RIA 1903. I've been an owner of the AR rifle for about a year now. I've never shot with anyone with any extensive knowledge about the rifle. I am always the one trying to get a friend into a new hobby. all i have to offer is some basic knowledge and saftey/range/gun etiquite. Just sold a few of my gadgets(EOTech) to concentrate on learning more of the basics(irons etc.) first. Had to keep my new trigger though, just could not go back to that Bushy stock trigger after trying something else...i hated that trigger. I would love to hook-up with some other RI shooters, old salts, newbies, etc.

Great, thanks for the info. Sounds great... especially considering the quality of the shop and smiths around here. Oh, and Daisy your not kidding about the DMV!
. I try to avoid it like MA.  Bad things can happen to law abiding RI gun owners over there too. I live 10 min from the border so its hard. I think that a road trip to Easton is in order though. Good luck with the shop, I'll pass along the info to any interested people. Not too many people Daisy. RI is so small the idea of a hometown forum is kinda funny. Do we have a count? 20-30? members. Its so easy for us to get something together and all be close. Happy Holidays to all.
