My son just got back from one of the ponds we fish. He caught around 30 black crappie, only 15 were keepers. We just cleaned them and he is rinsing them off in preparation for frying.
He told me he used a red jig on an ultralight, 6 lb test, fishing brush out of his tube. I'll put up some fishing pics if we have fisherman here! (ACman, grenades and dynamite DO NOT make you a fisherman!  )

cane pole is fun way to catch crappie
 didn't know my fishing skills went that deep did you  those other methods are reserved for catfish
