1shott, years ago I was standing on the OKC Silhouette range and shooting at the ram at 500 meters with a Rem 03A3 using reloads. Standing I was hitting the damn ram and didn't realize it. Everybody on the range shut down and was looking at me. When I stopped to reload, I realized that I was being looked at strangely. I asked the guy next to me, WTF did I do? He told me I was hitting the ram consistantly and people were just watching me with that old 03A3.
I guess I was in the "zone" because I just thought I was hitting in front of it. The dust flying  were the bullets splattering.
Believe it or not, the 1903s are FINE rifles. I don't have one anymore because of stupidity. I couldn't shoot anywhere near that good now. But a 1903 gave me my 15 minutes of fame at the OKC Gun Club!

SLY, an 03, my favorite! I like the 03A3s, but the 03s are REALLY nice!
I've had probably over 5 or 6 over the last 30 years but didn't keep one of them. I'm a damn fool!

When I finally got the urge for a A3 they dried up at CMP. But I still have my 03.
