I was hoping they would be also. I've been dealing with everyone but Goatboy up until know. He has been busy so I worked my way up the chain of command. I finally decided to jump straight to him yesterday and we have started working out all the details. Hopefully everything can be settled by the next week, but the stuff will still have to be made.

I should have a demo of the hats by the shoot anyway.

I'll have what I owe you this weekend.... Battlefield 2 has dramatically cut into my graphic design obligations

MHO and .02.... way to busy for a hat design.

I'd prefer a very subdued color/logo.

Looks fine for a t-shirt (back), etc... just not a hat.

ETA: Maybe grey on black or some other lower contrast would help.

I'm was kind of thinking the same thing. We have time to make any adjustments we want. Maybe our master designer can come up with something a little less cluttered.

+1....KISS

I voted #2. I can't say why. It just looks like a less threatening to me. I have a few firearm shirts that have a tendancy to envoke stares.

Give me contact info for your hat maker so I can find out what their limitations are....
I got a phone number for a place that does shirts so I can try to get some demos from them too...

I don't know how do-able or popular the idea...

But I like the color/design scheme of Grant's hats at G&R here:

Maybe the Hometown design done on a patch on the front like Grant did with the flag:

And the AR15.COM refference across the back like here:

(Images borrowed from G&R without permission.... go buy some gear there so I don't get in trouble).

ETA:  And if the patch were made available seperately.... I'd bet folks would buy them for their gear bags, etc...

what's going on with this????

I see a thread on GD (link) where they're selling "Official Hometown Team Forum Shirts" with Goatboy's approval.

Does the VA project have Goatboy's approval, or will we be stuck with the lame-assed designs that this newbie dealer (TacticalApparel, 54 posts, joined July '05) is peddling????

I'm only a few months late for this thread.     Not interested in a hat but like #3 for the shirt.   Either color #1 or 2.  XL of course.

Thanks for doing all the work like usual Va-Gunnut.
