I'm interested in getting involved with the CMP but I do not know what clubs in Illinois are associated with it. Does anyone know who to contact in the Chicago area to become a member so that I can become associated with the CMP? I tried the CMP website but I'm not sure how this works.

ISRA -your doing a good thing for our IL gun rights too.

There is a thread here about roadtrip to CMP about halfway down someone tells you the requirements.

If you go to this page on the CMP site...

clubs.odcmp.com/cgi-bin/clubSearch.cgi

Select Illinois from the drop down box, and it will give you every affiliated club in Illinois.

The Sandy Ford Sportsman's Club in Streator hosts monthly CMP matches. Very nice facility set in the woods along the Vermillion river. You are not required to be a member of the club to shoot at these matches either.
