I just purchased a complete RRA lower from Pete at Legal Transfers. He told me that I got the last one he had in stock. He doesnt expect any more for a few months. RRA is behind on orders and is going to ship only complete rifles for a while.

Congrats if you are able to get this order filled

Not a real big problem. I'll just spend more money on clips, bullets, powder, primers, beer, pizza, 'The LampLiter'.

I called today and was told by Scott on the sales staff that all backorders on stripped lowers should be "caught up this week" meaning they expect them to ship this week or early next week at the latest. So hopefully we won't have to wait much longer. Just wanted to give everyone an update on these. Thanks!

I don't know any more...every time I call RRA I get the runaround and am told they'll ship in the next day or two. RRA is starting to lose customer credibility in my eyes.

I'm sure your receivers will be soon.   My FFL just got in a bunch from a 10 for $750 promotion and he ordered about when the group buy was.

Hey ChopperBob-
I know a guy that goes by the same ID elsewhere.  You familiar with Glenwood RV?
Just thought we might know each other.

The receivers are in so give Ron a call to schedule your pickup - 630-553-0648! I think he's also calling everyone to give them the news. Enjoy!!

Hopefully, I can pick it up Saturday. I think I have everything I need but if anything is missing the Princeton gun show will help me out.
When I'm in Yorkville I'll probably run up to Naperville to Tiger Direct to pickup some parts for a couple conputer builds that I'm working on.
I think I need a second job!!!!

Glad I can help keep you all in the poor house!!  Seriously, now I have to come up with an excuse to see Ron, too, without my wife knowing....  Anyone have any ideas to offer up??

You could say you're picking up some of the 'Tastefully Simple' beer bread mix that Ron gave me a sample of when I picked up my lowers.  Honestly it looks pretty good and it might just do the trick on your wife.

I'm seriously thinking about making the mix up tonight, hey the main ingredient is BEER so how bad could it be?

What is everyone else building with their lowers?

I need some ideas because I can't decide what I want.  I have a heavy 20" now so I was thinking either a 14.5" or a 16" But then I dont know if I should stay simple with an A2 or use a flat top with a red dot sight.

Anyone here put a red dot sight on top of an A2?  If so, did you like it?

It would be nice if we could set something like this up for those of us in Southern Illinois. I'd be up for a couple recivers at that price.

My build (the photo above) is a 16inch RRA A4 upper. The halographic sight is Bushnell. The stock is from M+A. The computer is an old HP 466 Celeron running Linux Red Hat 9.0. The printer is a Brother All In One. I put the 40 round clip in the gun to make it (the gun) look smaller (it worked).

I have a 16" flattop already so I'm thinking about build a 'stock' A2 with one lower.  The 2nd lower might become a 6.5 Grendel long range shooter in a year or two, I just need the required funds!

If I don't go 6.5 Grendel then I'll probably build a 9mm :)
