Another payment to the cost of freedom. Again, one more too many.

Can we send condolences to his family?

It always sucks to lose Americans, it just hurts a little worse when it's a local boy.

When my wife worked at Darnall Arny Community Hospital at Fort Hood, the average # of wounded flown back to Fort Hood is about 25 per week. The wounding or death of every soldier is a tradegy. We lost a friend in the 4th ID, he was a MSG with 28 years of service who volunteered (rather than retire) to go so that a young soldier could stay home. He was killed 2 weeks after getting to Iraq. My wife worked with his wife at Darnall Army Community Hospital.

This is a very sore issue for this combat vet who has been there done that.
