The first Nevada AR15.com meet is set for Rachel Nevada May 9-11. The meet will coincide with the of Rachel celebrating it's 25th anniversary, should be a lot of fun. The camping near and around Rachel is "old school"...no services. You must bring what you need, there are no water spigots and no electricity (I will be bringing a generator). If any of you finally want to see the town that was made famous for being closest to Area 51 or even want to go to the border of Area 51, this is your chance. Post any questions or info here. I am going to add a map and other links to info on Rachel..

That doesn't work for me, but I am glad you finally took a stand and decided on a date. There is no way you are going to be able to accomodate everyone.
I may drive up there on the 9th to try to meet some of the locals, but I have to work on the 10th.

That is the same weekend as the Las Vegas Gun Show at Cashman Center.  I've never been to a gun show here in Vegas, I want to go check it out.  I was hoping to see/meet some members there.

Sad to say I won't be able to make it either because I'll be working.  I'm glad to see that Wolfpack has done such a good job in getting this meet planned though.  Hopefully, it will be the first of many.

Actually, most of us want to make the show as well, we'll head home Sunday morning, shower, then head out to the show.  That's the plan, anyway.

Dammit... I wrote all that and then realized I already know you!  You got me, Mike!

Thanks for the heads up. If my schedule changes? We can make the ride over. Rachel is right out the back gate from "work". So close, yet so far away :)

Any first anual T shirts?

I'm going to mainly be shopping for revolvers on Sunday (big and small). So if you have any you want to sell and want to try and get my money before someone at the gun show does, bring yo' stuff!

I've never been to the Cashman Center, don't know what's there to meet at. Don't know when Wolfpack and everyone wants to pack up Sun morning.

Is there going to be driving directions to the spot, or should we all meet up at Rachel Day on Sat and go from there?

That is the 1 million dollar question. I am going to be camping there Friday night and Sat night. depending on the amount of people coming will determine where I camp. If it is just a few we can camp by the mine, there isn't a whole lot of flat ground around the mine. If there is more than 3 tents we will have to camp on Sand Springs Dry Lake, it is 10 minutes away from Rachel, easy to find.

So far it looks like me, you and Gunbert confirmed on camping. I won't be able to camp Fri night, but I'll be wherever I need to be Saturday morning. How early are you going to Rachel Day?

I have no idea what were gonna be doing Saturday, I'm sure you guys want to shoot so we will have to figure out when to shoot and when to go into town to see some of the festivities, remember Rachel is a tiny town so don't be expecting the Rose Bowl parade. Should be fun though!!

Wolfpack, Mrs. Different and I want to attend this camp out and meet.  We have a pop up camping trailer we wish to camp in Friday and Saturday night. Is there enough flat space at the camp site for us to set it up?

Thanks,

Different

P. S. We are NOT going to the gun show.

About 6 million acres.

I just thought about something...I own 5 acres in Rachel...we could all camp there, but I kinda like to be away from everyone I'm not camping with. Something to think about though, my land is in the back of town, not near the hwy.

Okay, Wolfpack.  We'll be there.  Just let us know when and where.

Thanks,

Wow... this is turning out well.  Now I'm all excited that I get to break out the camping gear!

Bob, how much wood should we bring for the fire(s)?  I'll spring for it, but you gotta haul it up there 'cuz I got no place to put it in my jeep.

And what are we eatin'? Or better yet, what should we bring to share?

O.K......wood is gonna be tough to do. I have a fullsize truck but with all the other stuff I gotta bring I probably wont have room. Gunbert, maybe you and I can make a run up there the week before to scout some locations for campsites and where we can set up a range, it will make it way easier. We can also bring out wood with us and stash it out there somewhere, believe me no one will ever find it. Wood is easy to buy and cheap at Jones Tack and Feed, they are at Rainbow and Rancho...right across from the Santa Fe.

If you lived in Vegas and wanted the tires I bought, it would be a chance to save $77. Let me in on the joke please?
