Looked through the topics that were posted earlier in the year when SB 17-008 removed the switchblade and gravity knife restrictions... Since I've never lived in a state where auto's were legal, I'm about to pull the trigger on purchasing one. Two questions I haven't been able to find so far.
1. Are double edge still illegal to carry as the edge counts towards the 3.5" max?
2. Is there any type of limitation on what auto's are legal based on the "ballistic knife" still being classified as a dangerous weapon is a defined in § 18-12-101 as:
(a.3) “Ballistic knife” means any knife that has a blade which is forcefully projected from the handle by means of a spring-loaded device or explosive charge..
Obviously the explosive charge is very clear, but what is the "spring-loaded device"?? I'm assuming this is about the charge not the spring... OTF's good and clear to purchase and carry?
