I've been here a couple days now running out of stuff that I can afford to do with the kids.  Is there any place to shoot around here or and stores worth checking out?

Tons of places to legally shoot, but no stores or anything to check out. You'd have to head down to Montrose, but we don't have anything spectacular.

Wait so you are in Telluride and you can't find things to do with the kids?

Go on a hike? There are mountains in all directions. Take the free chairlift. Drive over Dallas divide if you haven't already. Check out Ouray. Million Dollar Highway.  Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Tons of free stuff to do.
