You see today is the day that our Brothers and Sisters from the southern regions of the American continent decided to leave work in protest to the way our oppressive government ( and most of you all) has treated them in the past...It is a protest to show just how disabled we are without their services... I could not even get a burger without catsup.

Well around here if you buy local milk, our undocumented brothers and sisters are the ones that work the dairy plant that loads and ship's the milk, They work the local fastfood joints, and out of 7 of the nicer resturants in our area, 3 of them are family type Mexican resturants. of the remaining the hispanic's are the cooks,dishwashers, and busboys. Our business park is filled with huge companies like Canyon Creek cabinent company, Nyman Boatlifts, Northwest Raceing... Stockpot Soups, several cold storage places for fish products.. The machine shops that back up Boeing,All would be down the tubes without the hispanic's that work there....Im a Vol Firefighter in this town, and for over 10 years I could not even begin to tell you how many undocumented workers I have had to transport to the local hospital (also hires a large amount of hispanic workers in the laundry and housekeeping) Without these people our towns would die. And dont pull any of that " You could call I.N.S./ICE/CBP"...They tell us they have no interest everytime. So I guess it is not a problem, And as long as it is not a problem, I suggest that we all get over it, and start helping them. Honestly now, Just think how much happier and what a better place this country will be, when we all stop this silly bickering.  |

I think it interesting how the US doesn't seem to have such a problem with illegals from any country except Mexico. I have several friends that are natives of other countries. To a person they all say that when the have the least little problem with their visas the immigration people are on them like flys on shit. Yet we have millions of illegal aliens from just south of the border. And little seems to be done to gather them up. Where's the La Migra presence at these protests? Seems like a fine way to round up the illegals. It should be very hard for them to get work since your supposed to prove your immigrations status before being hired. Yet, I just read over the weekend something like 75% in the Arkansas chicken processing industry are illegals. But I read no mention of on-going raids or fines to the employers. Congress is sitting on their hands right now to avoid having the public wring them during an election. "Oh fuck, oh fuck, do we piss off the american voters and do nothing or do something and piss off all the illegal voters? Oh worra, worra, worra, what are we to do." It seems incomprehensible that we're still escorting commerical aircraft with fighters because some arab looking dude dis'ed a stewie. But the MSM can just stroll down to the border anytime, day or night and photograph illegals going back and forth like they're on the expressway. Where's the Homeland Security response to this? Screw airport security. The next attack is going to be inflitrated over the mexican border. Too bad our politicians aren't as worried about our country, our economy and our people as they are a bunch of criminal infiltrators and how best not to hurt their feelings. |

North America, South Africa and Australia were Imperial Europe's unemployment/welfare plan, like Mexico is doing today. If you couldn't pay taxes, get the fuck out. Forget collecting a damn thing.

Basic run from the scene of the The talk in our neck of the woods today was the work slowdowns, and everyone getting rides to Seattle, and to Skagit County for the march. Im more upset that those of us that work are also not doing the same thing in protest to our Gov's disreguard of National Security, and the wellbeing of this nation. I have seen many poll's and honestly it does seem to be a pretty even split on what the public wants done about the situation.

Strat, that is exactly the thought I had on the way home while thinking about this. Its a done deal. We no longer have a government that is willing to deal with the hard issues. And the prospect of having to fight 12 million people suddenly made hunted criminals is not something the averager American is willing to live with. These people aren't just going to pack up and go away. Not to mention the increased prices this will mean for Mr. and Mrs. Soccer Mom if they do get booted. Of course maybe our elected officials could grow a set and do some welfare reform at the same time and push some of the real deadbeats into the job market when the difference is starving or picking fruit.
Naw, not gonna happen. The Democrats would lose the voter base. After all once you realize you don't need the government to live you start thinking about making it smaller. R-32, I owe you for making me think the hard thoughts. Fuck, what a mess. |

I have to chime in with R-32 and XD Fan on this one. Both political parties have a lot of capitol tied up in this and would both lose by getting rid of illegals. Ma & Pa America haven't the stomach for massive enforcement or the wallets for the price increases that domestic labor would demand for the jobs the illegals do.
Do we need locked down borders? Yes. Will those in power forfeit votes or a place at the corporate teat to accomplish this? NO! |

I think this is going to be the biggest huggie-handholding fest between the Republicans and the Democrats since the couple months following the 9-11 terror attacks. The Republicans cant afford to lose the vote, and the Democrats will not want to compromise the high number of votes they already get from the demographic. I think we are going to have to just put up with the increase numbers of Illegal Mexicans and OTM's that are now crossing over because they know amnisty is in the future. We need to double fence up, with air and ground patrols along with towers every 300 yds at the least before Im going to be happy with what is going down. |

They do I have a good friend with the Border Patrol, BTW he hispanic desent and they really piss him off. Their always telling him hes one of them. They regulary go out and catch car loads of them. Detain them, haul their ass's back and then watch them come back faster than they can file the reports. Yes the have captured lots and lots of drus, they have captured weapons being smuggled in. And yes he says he knows terrist have come in or other things we dont want here. How does he know their will be a tip of a load of illegals comming accross so when they put their resources to capture them it leaves other areas wide open. Why else would they get tips??? He also has had to disarm Mexican Military men (they were lost on manuvers) he said that would be fine except they all had maps and GPS units????? On another instance they were told by higher ups they were drug runners with stolen Mexican uniforms and wapons, OK then why were they all in new uniforms and they had military presciscion in their moves. But the big give away was the 2 HUMVEES they had with a 50 mounted on each . After talking with him he says we need 100% crack down AND a complete fence along the border. Hes getting real scared down there now as they are bolder and bolder knowing we wont do anything about. I garee build a fence and BTW where the fuck is Homeland Secuity??????????????????

They're on the line ready to kick ass and take names. It's the jack-off's running Homeland Security that have their collective heads up their collective butts. They have put forth rules that make it a huge problem to apprehend illegals. Say you catch Pedro sneaking though with an altered ID. Wanna pat him down? Nope, you need a supervisor's permission. Wanna cuff him, Nope, you need a supervisor's permission. Wanna put him in the cell. Nope, need a port director's permission and you have to call his family to let them know what's going on, if he's there more than 2 hours. He will also have to be fed and checked on every 15 minutes. Can a smuggler's car be seized? Usually not. Do alien smugglers go to jail? Nope, in 10 years I only saw one arrested. What happens if an alien attack's an officer. Nothing. Do our Border Officer's have training in detecting Aliens, Drugs and WMDs? Nope What training have the officers recieved in the last three years? Muslum sensitiviy training Minority sensitiviy training Professionalism Training ( Be nice and say welcome to the tourists) 30 pages of possible duty offenses and punishments. I could go on, but it's already been a bad day. I've believe in 20 years the Mexican border will be a little north of San Francisco. More schools will teach English as a 2nd language than will teach it as a 1st. We live in a time where people living illegally in our country can make demands of it and be called patriots. But the Minutemen who chose to guard or borders are racists. God bless us, cause the government ain't gonna help. |

 What have we been saying for the last twenty years ?
A BP K9 unit got hurt 2 miles out on foot and his radio batteries went dead, command refused to acknowledge they had a man missing or investigate, the AMM people saw him back to his vehicle but incidents like that make my blood boil because they do not even care for their agents as they should. People should be foaming at the mouth enraged and at the reps doorsteps DEMANDING remedy ! |
