So today I am flirting with being an old guy. I some some of the symptoms. Not the physical ones, I have plenty of those, but the grumpy ol' fart ones.

The smoking ban, the gun "laws", the restrictions on speech and all manner of "Political Correctness" all take away my freedoms that hundreds of thousands of Veterans died to secure. I feel like 63% of residents of Washington state just took a crap on the graves of our Veterans by voting for their self interest rather than protect the public liberty.

You guys cans agree with me, or be wrong, I'll respect your right to be that way, unlike some of you.

No wonder I'm grumpy.

Yes you are old. I'll stop by this morning with a Bunny Latte. Hope you're home and awake.

Your objections don't have anything to do w/ age, grumpiness and/or excess gas.

I'm right there with you. I fear for the future from what I see happening in our society and with personal attitudes.

Almost forgot.

Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

"It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself. Subject opinion to coercion: whom will you make your inquisitors? Fallible men; men governed by bad passions, by private as well as public reasons. And why subject it to coercion? To produce uniformity. But is uniformity of opinion desireable? No more than of face and stature. Introduce the bed of Procrustes then, and as there is danger that the large men may beat the small, make us all of a size, by lopping the former and stretching the latter. Difference of opinion is advantageous in religion. The several sects perform the office of a Censor morum over each other. Is uniformity attainable? Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half the world fools and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the earth."

Happy Birthday Bunny_Man!!

I wake up every morning at nine and grab for the morning paper. Then I look at
the obituary page. If my name is not on it, I get up.

I guess I don't so much mind being old, as I mind being fat and old.
