No, I'm not setting it up but come on now, we all want to do it so somebody jump on the bandwagon and put this thing together.  With the G-F thing coming up on the last weekend of Aug and the WAC show in Monroe on Sept 13-14, I say any weekend other than 13-14 in Sept.  1GR, are you done with that thing that you do sometimes, um WTH do you call it, Yea! Work! Are you done with work by then?  I really hate when TBD has to miss a good shoot.

Anyway, our good weather will be ending soon so let's throw a couple shoots together fairly soon.
Anyone feel free to jump in with any suggestions/ideas.  Thare are no bad ideas, the only stupid question is the one that wasn't asked, to post or not to post, that is the question.

Oh crap, I think I had too much wine.  Oh well, off to karaoke I go!!.....

2WP, I dunno what all is involved in putting this together but it looks like you did all anyone needs to do by starting this thread. Unless we want to invite Mr. Tanner come back Anyways, I will start recruiting a few of the guys I know down here and I am sure guys will start signing up.

Anyhow I voted for the 20-21 of Sept. The gun show in Portland is the 6th and 7th of Sept. But I am up for any of those weekends. I'll remember my sunscreen this time!!!

I gotta check the Husky/Seahawks Special schedules.
OT adds up quick if I can drive both!

Money or Shooting?  Money or Shooting?
OH. I gotta EARN money to shoot.  Yeah, that's it!

I also voted for the 20th and 21st.  Like Yankee said for Portland show is the weekend of the 5th, I missed the last one since I was in a car wreck so I am going through gun show with-drawls right now.

Only thing that will keep me from this shoot is we are expecting our first little one in the next few weeks.  And if I am out shooting while she is having the baby I can pretty much bet I will be sleeping in YankeeFan's garage for an extended time.  But if there is not baby I can probably sneak up for at least a few hours.  If we do have the baby prior I am with 1GUN December looks good..

I would like to finally meet everyone that I have either bought from or chatted with.

Well it looks like NightSniper and 1GR are in charge of the happenings for December.  Any weekend is fine for me except 12/27-12/28 (Christmas weekend).

I guess I also should have asked if we prefer to shoot in Chehalis of back at the Olympia forest pit.  Olympia seems to be a bit closer for most.  I don't know, chime in if you have a prefferance....

If I was 100% sure I could attend I would say Chehalis.  I would bet Yankee would also vote for Chehalis also.

You are correct sir! A shoot in Olympia would be quite a trip for us down here. Of course I don't know how far the guys from up north travel to shoot at the pit in Chehalis.

That's too far away to think about yet isn't it? But organizing one now sounds good!

Sep 20-21 sounds good, it's right after payday.
Count me in!

BTW, the Chehalis pit would be a better place to shoot cause the Capitol forrest pit can get crowded on the weekends.

Rough distances

Vancouver WA to Olympia 105 miles.
Seattle to Olympia 61 miles.

Vancouver WA to Chehalis 77 miles.
Seattle to Chehalis 88 miles.

Now if you guys are further North than Vancouver and further South than Seattle it cuts your driving distance to either location so be fair if you are going to whine about how far it is to actually drive to a shoot.

Personally I think the Cap Forest was a great shooting spot.

Yes, most of the places we shoot are on Weyerhauser(sp) property, I believe.

kooter,

The pits in the Capital Forest are still open. FWIW, the one we all shot at last time is just off HWY 12, north of Rochester so it's not too far from Chehalis.

For any of you complaining about the drive we just drove 2.5 hrs to get back from shooting at Granite Falls so nyah!

Is this still on? I'd be willing to use my place as a after venue if we want to shoot in the Cap Forest. For the Vanc. types the pit[/p] is not too far north of Chehalis, it's not really in Olympia, more like 20 minutes south of Elma.

Either pit is fine with me, I'll be there either way.  The pit by Elma is somewhat closer to the guys up here so, unles we get a bunch of "for sures" from farther south....

Besides, Tweak and M sets you up with all the free beer you want and BBQ T-bones and wakes up early in the A.M. to make scrambled eggs and bacon, don't ya Tweak?!

New rough distances to the Rusty Tractor (very close to the link up point) in Elma.

From Seattle 88 miles
From Vancouver 113
From Chehalis  37 miles

No invite or secret club/list/handshake required.  Just watch to see where and when they decide to meet.

I didn't think we would ever get any interest from south of the border!
