It'll be nice to not have on 87 layers.
Also, Doc (not an actual doctor) is going to be grilling burgers & dogs. He's asking folks to bring bbq/back yard grilling stuff. |

Hopefully they open up the pistol area during daylight because I don't have any lights/lasers on the AP5-P.
Or you test how well you can shoot passively under nods. |

That was fun. Didnt shoot anything, but it was hoot to see everyone else playing with the bullet hoses. That one 40 pound kid (was maybe what, 7 or 8?) firing the Barrett was awesome.
I'll have to bring a short barreled mosin to the next night shoot. Was nice meeting yall |

I learn a lot by watching.
Last night early on I paid a lot of attention to the pistoleros. Red dots ARE a lot faster than irons and from what I saw, have a lot more practical lead on target accuracy. Unfortunately they don't seem to work very well on my astigmatized, tired old eyes. The NODs fascinated me. I'm thinking very seriously of dragging a Garand (or a simple M-4gery) along some night and trying my luck with it after dark the way I did in basic training back in the day. Remember, I'm retiring VERY soon and at this stage of the game the cost of NODs is a big chunk of change I should probably keep in the retirement kitty. |
