From what I hear, these Appleseed shoots are well worth the effort and small expense to attend.
I'm planning on going to one soon, and I'll post in GDF and NEHTF about afterwards. If I can't find one close enough, maybe I can convince my local club to host one. Anyways, I'm going, one way or another. |

They have done them in light snow and in very strong winds. I can't speak for them, but I would guess that it would have to be a pretty heavy rain for them to call it off. Maybe they wouldn't even then. They don't seem like the quitter type. |

What if hail, fire and locusts fall down from heaven? Would they cancel it? I don't want to drive out there tomorrow and find out they cancelled it if hail, fire and locusts fall down from heaven?
What about an asteroid? |

Hail is only a problem if it exceeds a certain size. I image the match would be either delayed or suspended so no targets were damaged. Hail only lasts for a little while, you know. Locusts should be no problem. For visual purposes, treat as an intermittent obscuring of the target. Good training, actually. Good eating if you get enough of 'em. Fire could be an issue, as I know of no nomex scope covers, and the targets would likely be damaged. Again, most likely a delay. Asteroids? In that case, press on. Doesn't matter where you are, or what you're doing, you (and everybody else) is screwed. Might as well go out doing something enjoyable as opposed to taking out the garbage. |

What a great bunch of people. I could only be there for a few hours, and I wasn't planning on shooting, and ended up being handed an M1A and a box of ammo and shot for a few hours.
This truely is an honorable organization and a noble cause. |
