How many tables is this show supposed to be?
Link Posted: 2/1/2006 6:59:24 PM EDT
Not sure.
This is the first time I've been to it.
I did talk to the promoter and he said there are several table still available.
Link Posted: 2/2/2006 7:34:01 PM EDT
Last time I went, there was maybe, 30 - 40 tables, but there were deals to be found. Whether you are looking for parts, ammo, or someone who actually WILL trade or buy firearms, you have a great chance of finding it there.

I'll let you all know how many tables it is.
I'm going over tonight to help set up the table and get my table in order.

I have a bunch of deals.
A lot of my stuff is marked down to 1/2 of the cost.
I want to clear out this stuff to buy some new toys.

110 of the 124 tables have vendors according to the guy runnig it.
We will see if they all show up.
There were about 15 of us that setup tonight.

Hade a good day selling and buying.
Sold enough to by the BetaC AR15 mag I wanted plus more.
We had about 1,000 people come thru today.
Average they tell me is 700.
The weather will tell how tomorrow goes.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the show. While it did indeed look like a great turnout, I doubt I'll ever go back, it seemed like it was more of a "huntin' rifle" sale and I can get those at Wal-mart and in most cases cheaper. Glad to hear you had a good selling time Supercomp. I did look for ya, but I assume you sold all your AR stuff before I got there, cuz I couldnt find ya. Hope ya have a great time at the show tomorrow.

I have vendors circling my table Friday night.
They would wait till I brought something else out ot the bins and put it in their pile.
I sold most of the AR parts to a guy that builds uppers.
The Bushy A2 went Saturday morning.
The 24" heavy I brought home tonight. A few looked, but noone took it.

Today was slow. I guess with the superbowl most came yesterday.
I packed out at 14:00.
Found out after the show that the promoter didn't want any loaded firearms in the show.
OOOPPPSSS I had my carry piece on all weekend.

9supercomp,

It was nice to finally put a face with a name on here.

I picked up that micro compact springfield. Then the little guy and I left.

That was it and me.
I did notice there was no venders with AR stuff.
One guy was selling Hi-Point carbines, but the rest was hunting/military.
A few guys had mags.
Is it not the norm around these parts????
Maybe I can start a nitch in the local market???

Nope it is NOT the norm in these parts, Im sure you seen the amish guys selling their wares there as well if that gives you any hints on the present market in the area. lol

Most of the ranges are either social clubs that rarely shoot, or A LOT of wasted space to sight in your hunting rifles.

Had I known it was you I would have said hi, but I hate stepping up to someone and calling them by their screen names from the net lol.

Hell I think during the entire show I only saw 5 AR's total. Lots of other funky stuff, but nothing fun. I couldnt believe the price on mags there. I thought about bringing mine in on sunday and sell them to the vendors.

The guy with the hi-points is there alot, but I cant bring myself to buying a Planet of the Apes gun.

The way I find out if someone is a member here is to ask if they are on AR15.com.
Since I do setup I can't remember everyones tag.
I introduced a lot of people to the site by asking.
A lot of them own AR's but don't know where to find us.
Many are looking for places to shoot with like guns.

As for the mag prices - they bought most of their stock before the AW ban sunsetted.
They don't want to take a loss.
Actually they are but don't see it by not being able to sell them.

lol I tried that, but the people look at you like you just asked them to make ya a Baked Alaskan. Ahhh yet another reason the ARCOM shirts are useful. lol

I find a similar situation with 1919a4 owners. Hell of a lot more of them out there than I realized, but at the same time, much like the AR shooters, its hella hard to find a place to shoot without getting the "That aint no huntin rifle" look.

With regard to the mag prices, yeah I see your point, but I'd think it would be better to take a little bit of a loss rather than 100% loss. but thats just me.
