Designated driver can be massive fun - you're the only one sober who can hold the phone steady for the incriminating evidence during the festivities...I mean, "properly chronicle the event", yeah, that's what I meant...

It's not uncommon for the local groups to do their own thing but we aim to try and do a large group gathering every few months. If you can make it great if not. Maybe catch the next one. Being that it's hot we may try and have something up north to beat the heat and now that we are getting decent rain fire restrictions shouldn't inhibit it. (we planned a night shoot up north but had to relocate due to fire restrictions) |

Obviously I’m not a huge contributor to forums (especially one’s with SO much scrutiny), I’ve lurked here (and other forums) numerous years. I prefer to keep my interests between myself and those that are close to me, not broadcast for the world (.gov) to see. One can learn much by reading, and I hate feeding the trolls.
I lost what little faith I had in Tucson when that nitwit romero was elected mayor. I retired (early) sold everything in Pima County, and headed north to rural Mohave County in September 2020 to get away from the rampant socialist bullshit. I still have family and friends in Tucson, probably going to spend more time there than I care to think about. So far I am quite pleased with the folks I have met and the political climate in this area generally speaking. I can appreciate a good bourbon from time to time, however I am more of a scotch man. Most days I stick with a good beer. I don’t get out to shoot as often as I’d like, but the rehab at the “new” place is slowing down and my time is beginning to be a bit more flexible, so that will be rectified shortly. All that being said, AZ is my home and firearms a way of life. If you guys are open to having a grumpy old man around, I’d like the company. Maybe we can learn from one another. |
