I have called around a few gun shops and everybody thinks that a stripped lower is worth $120+.  Anybody know where I can find one in the Scottsdale vicinity for $50-$80 or so?  Do not really care about brand, with the exception of Anderson as I have heard/read that they not always dimensionally correct - is this still an issue?  Nothing fancy, no billet, just a plain old forged stripped lower anodized in black.  If $120 is the cost now , I will just do an 80% for ~$25 or so and finish it up, but I just wanted to be done with it as I am a bit time constrained with all my projects and life.
Thanks in advance,
Bob

There's a million different tax free online retailers where you can get a quality lower for at least half local retail...

Shooter’s Vault had them for reasonable prices, usually. I haven’t been in for a while, their service has taken a bit of a dive in recent years.

Issue is the $35 NCIS check, unless you guys know of some place that charges less?

$35 is crazy. I don’t know anyone that charges that much.

Craig at Scottsdale Guns (not Scottsdale Gun Club) will do transfers for $25.

Believe I saw another thread around here recently of an FFL in Gilbert or something that will do them for $15 (know it was sub $20).

ETA - found the thread. Noir Tactical supposedly does $10 transfers.

ETA 2 - Quentin Defense appears to do $15 transfers for non CCW holders, and $10 transfers for CCW carriers.

Just go buy a Quentin Defense lower and don’t pay any transfer fee

All I can see on their site is $129....

Same.

Regardless, I think it'd be tough to beat a stripped Aero, PSA or Spikes lower tax free from an online retailer with just a $10 or $15 transfer fee. That'll likely be your best bet for a quality true sub $100 all in stripped lower.

Quentin Defense forged lowers are 79 dollars usually. Just go to Quentin Defense, good people.

If QD forged lowers are $79, that's a good route to go. The tax will be a wash without having to pay a transfer fee.

Healy in Tempe http://www.healyarms.com/ had an assortment ranging from andersons and polymer to higher end lowers. I found the owner to be very friendly and helpful.

Still real solid, and close to my house. I was even content with the $20 and $25 transfers (they raised them $5 bucks this year) I was paying at Scottsdale Guns over the years. Shit, Craig over there has done at least two dozen transfers for me over the past few years alone. Knocking $10 to $15 bucks off a pop will add up quick. Thanks again.

Check out Ammo AZ on Deer Valley and 19th Ave. Saw some Anderson's a few days ago for $50  and his other items are very reasonably priced. Worth checking it out.
