I'll be there, as well as my wife (with her pink AR and 11-87).

Yeah, you should have been out there today -- rain and snow, of all things. Temps were around 38F all day. I froze myself -- I can't remember having shivered that much. You ever try to shoot LaRue targets at 300 yards with the clock running, with cold rain blowing in your face?

At least you guys shot the course.
Practice in adverse conditions is what reality is all about.
After all, you can't decide to call a war on account of rain.

Shoot. I forgot about this one. I doubt I would have come out on Saturday since I was just planning on watching.

I was out at the Cowboy thingy today. (NO! I don't dress up like Billy the kid for thrills.)

It was winding and dusty on Friday. It rained all day on Saturday with occasional snow and it was friggen cold. Sunday was perfect. I'm happy I finished and I didn't have one malfunction (except mental) with those conditions.

I didn't place as high as I wanted to but it still was fun.

The weather shouldn't have been an excuse to stop shooting the match.

Saw most of you guys out there. Saturday was so cold/numbing that every shot was an AD. Had an equipment failure on one stage.. The rain/snow migrated all the lube from the AR and replaced it with dirt/powder/water in the bolt rails. That combo doesn't lubricate very well. Good lesson. though.

Oh, 37th in open class out of 66 or 68 competitors.

I have to say I was pleased how I finished -- 27th in Open, and that's despite my shotgun jamming contantly (it's worn out and has finally given up -- time for a new one). Stage 4 was a disaster (jams and bad speed reloads with the shotgun), and a very mediocre stage 7 (shotgun jammed very other shot).

On Saturday morning when I was unloading my rifle after having shot stage 5 (one of the long range courses of fire), the RO commented that I was slapping the trigger when shooting the 300 yard targets. I explained that's because my fingers were numb from the cold and I couldn't feel the trigger. That pretty well sums up Saturday -- numb fingers, crappy weather, poor shooting. Still had fun, though, and I would have to say that's because of the people I was squadded with, and that the ROs managed to keep a sense of humor. Hats off to them -- they braved the rain all day while we huddled under the tents.

Was that stage 3 you had the camera downrange on a tripod? Pretty cool stuff -- too bad it was near sunset, so the lighting kind of sucked.

Very deluxe video and stills, Russell. Did you convert everyone's times to an excel sheet so the classes could be compared?
