[ARCHIVED THREAD] - visiting Phoenix this week, what should I see/do?

I've never been to Arizona before but I just learned I need to go there for business on thursday to see a client. I will have some free time thursday night and I'm wondering what the hell there is to see and do in Phoenix. I hate to waste the trip when business will only take 3 or 4 hours.

depends on what side of town you are in, its a big city. If you had an address it would help.

Where will you be? Like any city there are hidaways that the locals know for food and grog. I recommend Truelichs Tavern for steak and overall decent food. They are at Bethany Home Road and the freeway, on the west side but you can see the sign from the freeway.

I was hoping to find out the hot spot where all the decent bars are so I can bullshit with people and maybe work my game. Debauchery is always fun, especially in another city.

I'm not sure where I'm going to stay, but probably close to the airport.

Try Van Buren Avenue. It's near the airport and the hotels.
