... Dang, and I'm stuck in Kali now - Not home for the first monsoon action of the 2005 season and I missed it

... This has gotta be a record for first rains - Someone (Gunslinger808?) did mention the cicadas a few days ago.

... I tell ya, those noisy critters know something (two weeks after you hear them for you new folks)

You've seen nothing yet.  And the West Valley can get the nasty end of things from time to time.

Forest service needs to be advised

Were you in there when it happened?

The wife and I were at Wal-Mart (the one by SR's favorite theater) while this shit was rolling in. The power kept blinking off and on, and I told her we needed to get in line and check out before they lost power completely and kicked us out minus our purchases. Well she ran into one of our neighbors and started flappin' her gums, and the power kept going off and on. I was like, "Woman! Let's get the hell outta here before this trip becomes a total waste of an hour of my life!"

Jeez.

Anyone else at Ben Avery last night?

Started pretty gentle, just created some moving targets down range, as in blew ours off the cardboard, and then we all got sandblasted.

I never thought Arizona winds could knock over a box of 200 rounds of 45 ACP hey
Then it started taking rifles of the rack too Thats when we left. Interesting reminder of what our guys are dealing with overseas.
