Try a rain dance around a fire. |
It's raining with thunder/lightning over here in Glendale right now.
Nobody picked today. So markm has to pay-up, or use the money to buy an Olympic Arms gun |
... Dang, and I'm stuck in Kali now - Not home for the first monsoon action of the 2005 season and I missed it ... This has gotta be a record for first rains - Someone (Gunslinger808?) did mention the cicadas a few days ago. ... I tell ya, those noisy critters know something (two weeks after you hear them for you new folks) |
It thundered/lingtning pretty good in Tolleson (Phoenix) tonight.
Wife and I just moved here...is this what everyone is making a hubbub about on monsoons? Erik |
WE got hit be a weak one at the PHX airport tonight. Came in around 10pm ish. Wind, dust and a little rain. Odd as to how early it came this year. News said that the rain did not phase the fire's up near cave creek. Might be another one thursday.

Oh yeah, you'll love it! At noon it's like 72 with a nice Westerly wind blowing, and all the bars are serving Black and Tan half price! So bring it home man. |

Were you in there when it happened? The wife and I were at Wal-Mart (the one by SR's favorite theater) while this shit was rolling in. The power kept blinking off and on, and I told her we needed to get in line and check out before they lost power completely and kicked us out minus our purchases. Well she ran into one of our neighbors and started flappin' her gums, and the power kept going off and on. I was like, "Woman! Let's get the hell outta here before this trip becomes a total waste of an hour of my life!" Jeez. |
Why didnt you just leave her there? |
MAN we got slammed last night (3 Aug 05 about 10pm) out in the Palominas/Hereford/Naco area. GREAT lightning show as well!! the storm came from the direction of Bisbee/Douglas and headed north over us towards Sierra Vista.
Rained so much and so hard, I was waiting for the voice in my head to tell me to start building the Ark.
Evil witch had da fukkin' car keys! Can you believe dat shit? ETA: The roof leak on my house sucks! |

Man, Tucson got pasted last night. Kolb road was/is blocked this morning at the Davis Monthan entrance.
My darn German Shepherd was in the bedroom all last night panting oudly and acting like chicken little. |
for about the past 5 evenings, around 3:30 to 5:00 the clouds start to build around my house (Hereford) and then advance toward me, usually from the south. gotten heavy rain each night.
Anyone else at Ben Avery last night?
Started pretty gentle, just created some moving targets down range, as in blew ours off the cardboard, and then we all got sandblasted. I never thought Arizona winds could knock over a box of 200 rounds of 45 ACP hey Then it started taking rifles of the rack too Thats when we left. Interesting reminder of what our guys are dealing with overseas. |
Yeah. Then those fuck head, grabasstic excuses for range officers probably yelled at the guys trying to save their rifles for handling firearms during a stoppage! |
total blackout last night in the Sierra Vista area. lasted about 10 mins. or so. the only lights in the valley i could see were Benson, looked as if Tombstone and surrounding were down as well....very dark. anyone else have an outage?
