As I will be in the Phx area next week, I would like to extend an invitation to the Az gang to have dinner and a few drinks in the evening on Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Only a few requests.... due to my brain surgery the next morning, this cannot be a knee-walking-commode-hugging-free-for-all drunk. And due to my darling and beautiful wife and the undying respect I have for her, no nudie bars (we have a 'naked rule' in effect). Other than these requests, all is A-OK.

Just got off of the phone with the Dr.'s office and I've got bad news for a Wednesday 7:00 meeting. The Dr is indicating that I will be in no condition to party on Wednesday due to the multitude of tests that I will be subjected to before my surgery on Thursday. He even killed my golf plans, so I guess I schlepped these clubs all the way to Phoenix for no reason.

So anyway, while I realize that this is a HUGE inconvenience, could we reschedule the Pub plans for tonight at 7:00 rather than tomorrow night? Let me know via phone as I am 'borrowing' a computer and do not have much more time before I am caught. My cell phone is 505-239-4169. Let me know.

UPDATE #2

My Dr, after seeing me in person, has decided that I need a more intensive type of brain surgery (does 'more intensive' and 'brain surgery' even belong together?) and has re-scheduled evrything for sometime in January, 04.
I am now inquiring about flights back to Albuquerque this PM, so it looks like the get-together is off for now. I'll keep you guys up to date.

I will tack this to make sure someone sees it.

What part of town are we talking here?

Everybody knows where that little pub is in scottsdale.

Have you ben to the Vally lately?  Its over 50 miles across both ways.  It would help to know the cross streets of you hotel.  

OK, let's just think about the Scottsdale area. I am not gonna be in a hotel, just hanging at a friends house and I do not know exactly where the house is.
