I just picked up four of the 5 sided Terrain poly hunting blinds at Farm and Fleet.  We’re gonna be toasty warm next year!

Very nice!

I keep telling myself that I am going to buy or build an elevated box blind and get a Mr. Buddy propane heater, but for some reason I feel that is cheating. The older I get, the more that feeling fades, it’s cold out there come late December.

I did break down and bought a thermal scope yesterday, so you will need to come over and get in a couple of yote hunts, which is more of a reason to build the box blind and get heat.

ETA... Nothing shaking this morning except me. Had to pull out for a 10am meeting I need to attend. I’ll be back out this evening most likely.

The ‘yote hunt sounds good!  I’ve got two PVS-14 setups and an IR laser on an AR so we can do a pretty good night hunt

Same here, but I’ve been invited to some high target concentration ground, so I’m hoping tomorrow will fill a tag.

@ZW17 I have the shadow hunter 4x6 with a  Mr Heater hunting buddy.  I am working on building another 6x8 “tower blind”  and only have the platform and ladder built. I will send some pics to @Safe1 and maybe he can post them for me.

Will have to check this out.

Only hunted the late afternoon until dark. No movement, but lots of tracks at the feeder. I need to invest in some cams. Any recommendations??

Good luck tomorrow gents.

Saw two does at first light also, but I let them walk hoping a buck was trailing them.  Oh well.

When your blind has a porch you’re doing something right.

That is an incredible setup. Well done.

I’ll just hunt from my living room if I want to stay warm though.

Looks like I'm eating tag soup this year... Kicked up 3 doe on December 5th when I was walking back to the truck after an unsuccessful public land waterfowl hunt. that's about it. I've tried private/public/West Virginia I got nothing! I guess there is still some bow season and maybe Santa got a a BP rifle (doubt it))

I didn't see jack. I'm going to let the corn do it's job and return in January when the weather helps me out as well.

Bummer man.

i went to Chief Cornstalk (I think?) a few years back to try and get some deer with my .25-45 Sharps AR. Didn't see a thing all weekend, then on a second day trip. On the weekend trip, three doe jumped in front of our trucks as we were leaving to head back to Rio Grande. I said I'd never go back to WV, LOL.

I didn't see a thing this past weekend, save a single deer showing me only their tail as they crashed over onto the neighbor's property as I was leaving the woods. Oh well, here's hoping I can get another one during Muzzleloader season.

Congrats!

Hamilton County has some great deer. Picked up a single typical shed in the woods behind my parents house (in a neighborhood) that had 9 points on it when I was in high school. I'll have to grab a pic of it next time I'm home, dude was an absolute monster. They keep in on their coffee table to this day, and my mom isn't the type to decorate with animal parts.

Cool.

Hate to be a Debbie-downer here but just ask him to keep his finger off the trigger unless of course he intends to pull it.
