Just wondering.....why the trade? You can put 1300 bl on 1200's , BUT Winchester says not to shoot a 3 inch shell out of a 1200 cause its not designed for it structurally and those 1300 bl shoot 3 inch only out of the slug bl.
Any how.....is this the reason?? |

hi. i have the win, 1200. 12ga. 26 inch bl, and a 1300. ranger slug bl. the ranger bl. is 2 3/4- and 3inch. the bl thats on the 12oo is 2 3/4. wanting to trade the ranger for a 2 3/4 1200 slug bl.are you telling me that i have been shooting the ranger 2 3/4 -3in on the 1200 2 3/4 and it not right. i have used it for a long time.

your right, i never tryed the 3in in it. i put one in the tube and had to take it apart to get the shell out. i took the gun on trade, i wanted to trade the 1300 slug 3inch for a 1200 2 3/4 inch. i dont like nothing but 2 3/4 . i dont know what i was thinking.???

I am not sure if they ever made a slug barrel for the 1200. Here is a place that I found helpfull lately.
