It is unlawful to sell a handgun to a person under 21, or any firearm to a person under 18. It is unlawful to furnish any firearm to a person who is under 18 or furnish any handgun to a person under 21, except for lawful hunting, sporting or educational purposes. |

Only loop hole, it can be given as a gift from someone over 18 or 21 depending on the weapon.

Persons under 18 may not buy a rifle in Ohio. Since any out of state transfer has to go thru a FFL (dealer) I doubt you'll find one who'll do a transfer.
What's your real question here? You're in IL and the question apples to OH. -- Chuck |

question is if someone under 18 in ohio is given a rifle , from out of state, how is it transferred

transfer it to their parent/guardian, then they give the rifle to them (minor) as a gift.
