I want some used DCU pants for when I do fieldwork. The Surplus Store in LA has great stuff but all their clothing is new or near new (or at least priced as new!). Is there a milsurp store in LA with stuff I won't feel bad getting dirty in?

Thr surplus store on Venice is the only place I know of. Most of the clothing is new, so you pay accordingly. There's always online sources....

You should try eBay. I got a set for $15 shipped.

+1 on major surplus. Its a big warehouse in a kind of bad part of town - sort of a bonus. Mail order prices are cool, but this is the kind of store you can just browse in, looking at all kinds of old smelly crap.
