I smote a few of them over the weekend.  There hasn't been a hate California thread started since Saturday ... three days is a long time. Basically I've pretty much nailed them and force them to look at their motivation for taunting others. They're basically sad little boys that nobody loves. I've changed the text above my avitars after the last go around. This is suppose to be a Christian nation - the Religion of Love - as in Love One Another ... not love your pistol gripped lower and make fun of others. Not hate California so much because we can't have pistol gripped semi-automatic weapons to the point where your drooling over yourself wishing that people in California were dead. I mean it's just stuff that really doesn't matter when you think about it. If you had to protect the stuff that really matters - your wife, your kids, yourself and someone offered you an M1A in .308 or an AR-15 in .223 I'm picking the battle rifle over the poodle shooter everytime. The other argument that seems to work is David Grossman's four people in a fight argument where you point out that there are people fighting for the Second Amendment, people fighting against it, their the cheerleaders encouraging each side ... and those that run from fighting. Too often the antburners are either people that have run from the fight or are busy bad mouthing those in the fight - neither of which I would call the actions of a man. These antburners really need to look inside and find out what their motivations really are ... and I promise you that they are not honorable. |

68F out here in Los Angeles.
Had a long talk with one of my friends who cut and ran from CA to a "free state." He's still convinced we should either a) MOVE, or b) find a new hobby. I had to point out that once we leave, the communists win, and they'll start passing even more draconian laws that their sympathizers in other states will try to emulate. |

Of course you can always look at it my way:
#1 Socialism has always inevitably lead to failure because the state ends up bankrupt. What would lead anyone to believe anything other than that the PRK will be bankrupt in the future? We are already rapidly heading that direction and our state has serious credit and deficit issues. #2 There will be an eventual backlash to various continued socialist policies that are at odds with mainstream California. A few years back I seem to recall nearly 70% of the population here voting to ban gay marriage. Regardless of what your position is on this topic, it's rather shocking to see a legislature attempt to disregard such a significant popular opinion and attempt to nullify the efforts of millions throughout the state. #3 As the off-list lowers demostrates it is impossible to create a "country within a country". California CANNOT do what it is trying to without first leaving the United States. Otherwise we're just going to keep getting more creative in our garages and bringing in more off-list guns. Every time they write up a new ban, we find a way around it. |

As you can see I'm a noob, but I have been lurking here for a long time. One of the things that really pisses me off about this forum (and other forums as well) is this idiotic and baseless hatred of all things Californian. Don't these idiots understand that we are all AMERICANS and therefore entitled to Constitutional protection? Another poster made a brilliant point: the more of us who run away, then the more likely this socialist/leftist crap will be passed and then more likely to spread to the rest of the country. |
