The courts told them what they had to do and it was simple: they had to maintain a list of AR and AK series members. It would have taken what? Maybe 30 minutes to 1 hour a week to keep the list up to date? Yet for 5 years they totally ignored the ruling and considered the problem solved.
If you think a bit of glue is going to keep the vulcan off the list you're wrong. Although it's easier to unpin and drop the mag from Cali Legal .223 rifles being built across the state as we speak, plenty of people have dropped the mag from the vulcan before. Ironically because the country's supply of STAGs, Fultons, Lauers, and Double Stars is running out some are turning to the "free states" version of the Vulcan including carbon fiber Vulcan lowers.
I'm confident that if they choose to ban the new off-list homebrew creations that are flooding the state, the Vulcan will be banned along with it. They may even decide to ban the Bushmaster CARBON-15 and FAB-10 to close the door on potential conversions of those recievers.
