Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Any word from Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island?

I can't find much info. I have several friends that live there and evacuated for Irma, they're on their way home now.

Just wondering how that area did. I know that just north of Fernandina in St Marys, GA they had severe flooding and Lang's Marina was almost completely destroyed.

Wife's cousin lives on beach in Fern. Bch. Lost 25' of dunes, took an 8' surge, bottom floor flooded and power lines down in driveway. Cottage on river/creek side had major tree damage and multiple trees down. Large trees. Everyone safe though.
