This is a Winchester 1917 Enfield 30-06 rifle. The rifle has a Winchester barrel and bolt and a cartouched stock marked O.G.E.K. that is the Elmer Keith cartouche. The finish is very nice and stock is not all-beat up. The only problems I see is the barrel is pitted (but not dark) and it still measures a little less than 3 on the muzzle gauge, could clean up better. Also the stacking swivel is missing. This would be a great gun for a collector or shooter, but I would have it checked out by a gunsmith before firing as it has a 5 digit serial number (557XX) and is very early production. Asking SPF shipped to a C&R or FFL that accepts from non-FFLs.
