I got this rifle recently because I wanted a WWII garand for my collection. I realise that I'm a post war collector mostly so I'd like to sell this and get a correct grade from the CMP. I will sell it outright, or trade for the right post war garand.
This nice early WWII Springfield M1 has the original barrel and some very hard to get early parts.
Here are some of the particulars:
SA 12-42 barrel with bright shiny bore, throat gauges 8, so it is well used, but not pitted as most early barrels are; SA/GAW cartouche is faintly visible and guaranteed to be authentic, however, its not correct for this date rifle; gas cylinder has narrow platform and front sight has seal ; solid gas cylinder lock screw, -11 follower, -12 bolt, (-18 trigger housing, -7 hammer, SA-11 safety), unmodified -3 op rod , lock bar rear sights.
It has a lead dipped reciever heel
This rifle came from the CMP before the Greeks were sold and will come with the cert.
850.00 shipped to your C&R or FFL in the Cont. U.S. SOLD PENDING FUNDS
OR I will trade straight across for a correct grade HRA or SA rifle.
