WTS: Springfield Lightweight Compact Loaded model model No. PX9503L
These are the one of the best guns for carry because of it's reliable 4" barrel, light Aluminum alloy frame, yet powerful 0.45 caliber. It has an "Officers" size grip, which holds 6 rds with the stock SA mags, and 7 rds with the Wilson Combat mags which are also for sale.
Has SA loaded package including Novak sights with Tritium inserts, beavertail, cocobolo grips, extented thumb safety, etc.
Has less than 1,000 rounds (just broke in), minimal holster wear. Functions 100% and shoots to POA. I'ts a great gun. I just have too many guns now and prefer packin' one of my two new $2,000+ Yost-Bonitz customized 1911s and want to move on with my many other gun projects.
I paid $609.95 for the gun in Feb of 2003 and was happy to get it then since they are kind of scarce.
I had added (by the Springfield Custom shop) the following parts that I bought for the following prices (based on my receipts):
Wilson Combat bulletproof slide stop $49.95
Wilson Combat bulletproof extractor $26.95
Wilson Combat bulletproof firing pin stop $17.50
Burns Hard Use trigger $24.00
I also had the Springfield Custom shop do a 4 lb trigger job. They tuned the extractor, fit the trigger and parts, converted the ambi thumb safety to left side only (which I prefer for carry to avoid safety "wipe-off"), and charged me a little over $165.00 for the work. I'll sell the gun for $600.00, you pay shipping, which I think is good since I have over $900 in it and it's in good shape.
I'll throw the following stuff with the gun in for free
Houge smooth cocobolo grips were $24
Six SA OME officers mags, two came with the gun, I got four more at $9.95 ea.
I paid $97 for the Milt Sparks Versa Max II holster in cordovan horsehide (has both 1.5" and 1.25" interchangeable belt loops), with the gun it's $65.00 I don't think any wear can be found on it anywhere. As a personal note: These are the best holsters by far and well worth it. This is a carry gun so you want a holster. I'd jump on this if you can at all afford it since Sparks is so backlogged all the time that I've had to wait many months for my holsters from them. I have about five VMII holsters for different guns. Nothing else I have come close. The horse hide is better IMO and the cordovan color goes with more things than the black.
I have five of the very nice Wilson 7 rd Combat officers mags, two in stainless and three that have their black finish over the stainless which I bought for over $30 ea,
I will sell these for $15ea for the no-black $20 ea for the black. The black ones are brand new. If I've used them it was only once. $740 takes everything listed here (you pay shipping)
